As a die-hard Godzilla fan, I was thrilled to get my hands on the S.H.MonsterArts Shin Godzilla (2016) figure. Let me just say, it did not disappoint! The level of detail on this figure is out of this world. From the unevenly growing teeth and nails to the realistic body surface, it’s like having a mini version of the actual movie monster in my hands. The fact that it’s based on the 3D data used in the film just adds to its authenticity. Bravo, Takayuki Takeya and the rest of your team!

My friend Tim was over when I unboxed this bad boy and he couldn’t help but be amazed by its size. At 180mm tall and with a total length of about 400mm, this is by far the largest SHMonsterArts Godzilla figure ever released. Lastly, I have to give credit to whoever came up with the new movable mechanism for the mouth. It allows for a variety of different expressions that I never thought possible with an action figure.
